Genevieve Thiers Started It in 2001
Sitter City was started by Genevieve Thiers in 2001 while she was still a student at Boston College. Sitter City is America’s largest online sitter service and the inventor of online care giving. She modelled the site after successful online dating service websites wherein individuals who need babysitters are matched with those who are willing and able to provide that service. Sitter City has grown tremendously from its small initial base of clients all in the Boston area and the company now serves more than 500 000 users across the United States. In addition to babysitters, they also offer nannies, senior care, housesitting, pet sitters, tutors and housekeeping services, amongst others. The Sitter City website has profiles on more than a million caregivers all across America and aims to provide their services quickly, easily and safely. The company offers a four step screening process to care seekers and offers promotions on various retail services and products.
All We Need Now is Baby
When my wife found out she was pregnant with our second child, we were both thrilled because we were not sure that would happen with her health. We waited to make sure they were both healthy before we started to think about the nursery. As soon as we were given the okay by her doctor, we started looking at her favorite baby website for Nursery Furniture. She was able to get a great package deal in a gorgeous deep cherry wood pattern. The crib was the only thing I was looking at but she had the foresight to make sure we had a chest of drawers that would also double as a changing table, a toy box since we know from experience that babies grow fast, and a laundry hamper as well. The price was pretty incredible for such quality pieces of Nursery Furniture! It was delivered one day last week and I just finished the final touches on the nursery. All we need now is our baby!
You Are 19 Weeks Pregnant
Your baby is eight and a half ounces six inches long at 19 weeks pregnant. This size will double until birth. The baby will start producing vermin which is sticky substance that covers the body to protect it from the watery environment it will be in until it is born. The brain will start developing pockets which specialize in the sense of touch, smell, sight, hearing, smell and taste.
The ears have developed and the outer ear can pick up sounds such as barking, humming of a vacuum cleaner and music from out side the womb. The baby is till very skinny but fat layers will start adding up beneath its skin to make it plumper. The lower abdomen may start aching at 19 weeks pregnant due to the increased size of the belly which causes pulling of the ligaments bellow the belly. This can feel like a dull pain or a sharp stabbing pain. This is normal however you should avoid making sudden movements. If the pain is too much, you should see a doctor about it. The nervous system will start developing myelin at 19 weeks pregnant. This is a fatty substance that coats the nerve endings for insulation so that impulses can smoothly flow to the brain.
